Sam Boshier, Gemma Hitchens and Janis Roe from Hamworthy's CSR team.

On Friday 27th September, Hamworthy joined organisations all over the UK for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning raising money for Macmillan.

Hamworthy employees once again popped on their aprons creating all sorts of sweet treats for the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Our talented bakers pulled out all the stops with an array of scrummy cakes including; chocolate cake, salted caramel cupcakes, lemon cake, carrot cupcakes, coffee & walnut cake, Dorset apple cake and many more. The deserving title of Star Baker went to Sally from the internal sales team whose lemon & blackberry cake was an instant hit.

As well as loads of delicious bakes on offer, Hamworthy employees also donated DVDs and CDs that were up for sale during the day. Overall Hamworthy raised a fantastic £137.85 for Macmillan on the day.

Sam Boshier, marketing manager and charity coordinator at Hamworthy, comments,

“It was great to see such a variety of treats on offer and everyone really embracing the fundraising spirit. We were delighted to be joined by our neighbours at Enhanced and Hamworthy Pumps who popped over for a slice or two. Thank you to all who baked and donated so generously."

Groupe Atlantic UK, ROI and North America is a finalist for the Community Spirit HVR Award 2019 for the group’s continued commitment to support Macmillan, raising over £40,000 and counting.
