Actions speak louder than words.

This is why we provide more than just financial support to charities and the local community. We offer our time and expertise too.

Volunteers and fundraising are crucial to small organisations and charities and we hope to pass on the skills and knowledge we have as a long-standing British commercial boiler manufacturer to these organisations.

In 2015 we were delighted that our community programme won us a Dorset Business Award for 'Business Engagement with the Community'.

You can see some of the community projects and fundraising activities we have been involved in below.

Hamworthy staff raise money for Wessex Cancer trust

Supporting our charity of the year

This year [2018] we are supporting local charity Wessex Cancer Trust and together with our group, Groupe Atlantic UK, we are also supporting national charity Macmillan Cancer Support. So far this year, we have taken part in a 5k run, held raffles and sweepstakes as well as bake sales raising money for both charities.

In 2017, we raised £2,050 for our Charity of the Year Julia's House through activities such as our bake off event, a clothes donation for the local Julia’s House charity shop, charity sales of old office equipment when we moved, and a “Wear something loud” day. This financed hospice sessions during the school holidays for nine school-age children.

In 2016, we raised over £1000 for our Charity of the Year Gully’s Place. The money was used to provide grieving families with memory boxes.

From 2013 to 2015 we supported Poole-based Forest Holme Hospice, which is dedicated to caring for patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. From providing boilers for their refurbishment to the Great Hamworthy Bakeoff, we donated more than £13,000 of money and equipment.

Hamworthy helping in the community

Helping in the community of Poole

The community in which we operate is important to us. Every year we run a beach litter pick and organise collections for our local food bank.
