A farewell from and a welcome to the sales team

Sales agent Mike Crouch is retiring after almost 28 years working with Hamworthy. Service engineer Dave Ward will move from the service to the sales team to replace him.

In 1990, Mike Crouch joined Hamworthy as area sales manager. In 2000, he made the step towards independence, becoming sales agent for East Anglia. He will be retiring at the end of March when Dave Ward will be taking over. Dave joined the company almost 20 years ago as a service engineer and felt he was ready for a new challenge as sales manager.

Mike comments,

“It has been great working with the Hamworthy team for such a long time. There are lots of people still working at Hamworthy who started with me or even before I joined the company. I’m looking forward to my retirement – preferably somewhere warm, although I’m also sad to say goodbye to the Hamworthy family. I would like to thank my customers for staying with me, they will be in very capable hands with Dave taking over my role, given his vast experience working on Hamworthy boilers on a daily basis.”

About his new role, Dave adds,

“I’ve had the opportunity to visit customers with Mike for the last few weeks which was great to get introduced to the role. I’m looking forward to a career change after 20 years as service engineer.”

Stuart Turner, National Sales Manager, says,

“I’ve known Mike since he joined the company two years after I did. It’s been great working with him. We’re wishing him all the best for his retirement. I’m also pleased to welcome Dave to our sales team. He’s been looking after our customers’ plant rooms for such a long time and he will make an excellent addition to the sales team.”
